Is the cost per person or per session?

The cost is per session and enables a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 people ( children are counted in this number) to have exclusive use of the pool, with swimmer numbers priced accordingly.

What are the advantages of block booking the pool?

You are guaranteed exclusive use of the pool at the same time each week. You will also enjoy the cheapest booking rate.

If I block book  the pool and cannot use my swim session will I lose it?

No. We allow block bookers to bank a swim session providing they give us a minimum of 48 hours notice. You are then able to re-book it within the booking period. You cannot carry these sessions into a new booking period.

Do I need to wait until the start of a new swim quarter to be able to start block booking the pool?

No. If  there is a session available to block book on a weekly  basis you can start at any time and just pay for the weeks remaining in that booking period.

Can I hire the pool on an occasional basis and how to I go about booking?

Yes you can hire the pool occasionally. If the is pool is available you can make a single session booking by emailing us at ashleywoodfarm@hotmail.com. We will confirm that the session is still available, the numbers that will be swimming and ages of any children. A confirmation email is then sent together with an invoice as payment is required by a bank transfer before your swim.

Why is diving prohibited?

The pool depth varies from 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres. As a result, the risk of someone diving and incurring a head injury is high.

Can seven of us use the pool just this once?

We regret that we can only allow six people to use the facilities, whatever the circumstances.

Do babies and young children count towards the six allowed in the pool at any one time?

Yes, they do.

Can I swim in the pool on my own?

No. We have a no lone swimmer policy at the pool.

What should I do with used nappies?

Please take them home with you to dispose of and please don’t leave them in the changing room  bins.

Do you provide swimming lessons at the pool?

There is a swimming teacher who teaches at the pool and hires pool time from us. Her details are enclosed on our Swimming Lessons page. Please note that the teacher is not employed by the pool but has been teaching at Ashley Wood Pool for a number of years.
